BC Sports Hall of Fame
The BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum preserves and honours BC's sport heritage by recognizing extraordinary achievement in sport by using our collection and stories to inspire all British Columbians to pursue their dreams. Here at the BC Sports Hall of Fame we honour the past while inspiring the future. Our free online resources provide teachers with lesson plans about sports history, Olympians, BC women in sports, Aboriginal sports and our Canucks. We do this by highlighting the qualities needed to become a champion. These are creativity, determination, positive attitude, social responsibility, teamwork and vision. Our "Hero In You" program combines this message with the personal message of an elite athlete. At various points in the year we perform outreach presentations to motivate the students participating in the 60MKC challenge. Through our 45 minute presentation we strive to empower youth to reach for greatness!
